Abstracted Nature

"Senses of smell, touch, and hearing."

An animation depicting an abstract line moving through various stylised environments, using parallax scrolling to simulate depth.

This assignment brief had me create an animation to represent the human senses in the environment. I subverted this brief by having an abstract, geometric stroke undergo a series of naturalistic, sensorial experiences in a variety of settings.

This was the furthest I have ever pushed my motion design capabilities towards a traditional animation format, and it posed unique challenges for the Illustrator to After Effects workflow.
